David H. Cooper

David Cooper joined Commonwealth Counsel Group PLLC as Of Counsel in 2023.  His practice focuses on general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), intellectual property and high-stakes business transactions.

Previously, Mr. Cooper was a partner at Roth & Cooper, P.S.C.; a partner at Goldberg Simpson LLC; served as a senior counsel at Louisville Gas & Electric Company (PPL Corporation); and since 2012 has been a sole practitioner as the Law Office of David H. Cooper.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Cooper owned and operated seven businesses (wholesale distribution; industrial construction; specialty manufacturing; and steel fabrication).  As an entrepreneur, he has participated in a wide variety of investments and ventures.  His experience as a successful business owner and in-house counsel allows him to offer practical and strategic insights to help clients maximize value and minimize risk.
